Defiance: A New SyFy Series

It has been a long time since I've been excited over a Sci-Fi series, but after seeing the trailer for Defiance I knew I had to mark my calender and ask siri to remind me to watch it. What blew me away about the trailer was the design and the computer graphics, they put so much detail in the series.  I know what your thinking, it's the same old story aliens trying to take over the world and enslave humans, but the concept for defiance are different we actually get to see the clash of mankind against the thing they fear the most the unknown creatures from space, I wonder who will win the courage and spirit of humans or the strength and technology. I've yet to see any footage of the game, but it's a pretty cool idea produce a show and a game to work together.

Can you say Senator Herman Cain without laughing?

Yeah I know what you’re thinking. I must have completely lost my mind even suggesting that former Republican Presidential contender Herman Cain could become the next Republican U.S. Senator from Georgia, but it’s possible. On Friday, January 27, 2013  when I read that current Georgia U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss said he won’t run for re-election in 2014 my first thought was why not Herman?
Mr. Cain is no stranger to Georgia state politics. He ran in the 2004 Republican primary for U.S. Senate in Georgia and garnered 26.2% of the vote which placed him second in a three man race On May 11, 2011 Mr. Cain officially announced that he would run for the Republican nomination for President. Herman Cain’s popularity surged thanks to his grassroots support from the Tea Party. At the height of his electoral popularity Herman Cain was the leading the Republican primary field.

Kevin James: Here Comes The Boom

Kevin James has not been shirtless in awhile in his movies not since I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry and that made me swoon over Kevin James. but one day my friend called me (he's a big Kevin James fan as well) to tell me about a movie that the handsome Kevin James will be in, and the movie is called Here Comes The Boom. The name itself made me want to see it. So i went to YouTube where I find a lot of good trailers in high definition to see what the movie is about. I was blown away not just because it looked like a good movie, I was blown away because Kevin James was TOTALLY SHIRTLESS in the movie. so if you are a big Kevin James fan or you want to see a sexy chub shirtless this is a good movie to see.

Movie Plot: A high school biology teacher looks to become a successful mixed-martial arts fighter in an effort to raise money to prevent extra-curricular activities from being axed at his cash-strapped school.

GOP’s latest strategy to win back White House

from The Miami Herald

Having failed to settle on a strategy to win over nonwhite, young, female and urban voters without putting off the Archie Bunker crowd, Republicans are toying with a novel strategy to get back into the White House.
In swing states that Republicans took over in 2010, GOP state houses and governors may soon use the remaining window of opportunity created by the perennial failure of Democrats to turn out in sufficient numbers during midterms, to rig future presidential elections in their favor.
This is how Katrina Trinko of the conservative National Review, described the plan:

Two Weeks of M3

Two weeks ago we officially launched the blog. We didn't know what to expect but the process has been a great experience. I feel like I'm really connecting with people on a deeper level. We've collected the voices of black gay bears and placed them front and center when we decide what to post to our blog.

Having more than one perspective gives new insights into the world. Things that would take me hours to figure out James comes up with two minutes. I found myself dealing with a lot more technical issues than I expected, but now that I'm using the blog I'm doing a lot more writing and editing and less focused on the publishing method.

A Listening Heart: A Poem

Tell me all your fears.
I'll protect you.
Tell me your secrets.
I keep them safe.
Tell my your dreams.
I'll make them come true.
Tell me your fantasy.
I'll be that.
Tell me your needs.
I'll supply them.
Tell me pain.
I'll heal you.
Tell me your worries.
I'll ease them.

Open your heart to me and receive all that I am.
and understand that the love I give is abundant.
Unchanging and incomparable. Indulge yourself
and be fulfilled with immense security.

The Key to love is vulnerability

Malcolm and James
“You’re imperfect, and you’re wired for struggle, but you are worthy of love and belonging.” - Brené Brown

Connecting with another human being may be the most important and difficult thing you'll ever do.  How can I write about this topic and give it justice? Words seem inadequate to describe the struggles we endure for love. Knowing I'm going to fall short, how do I move forward? "Lean into the discomfort" seems an appropriate quote from the talk. Even the experts can't always get it right. The video has a lot to say, but I feel a lot was left unsaid. This is the start of a longer conversation.

The GOP's "Dark Vein of Intolerance"

On Sunday, January 13, 2013 General Colin Powell was a guest on NBC’s Meet the Press. His statement that “there is a dark vein of intolerance in some parts of the [Republican] party" sent the reactionary Right Wing into an expected fit.

Some like conservative talk show host Laura Ingraham called Powell a hypocrite whose success and popularity is due to the fact that he was appointed to several posts by Republican presidents George H.W. Bush and served as Secretary of State during the first term of George W. Bush.

But is there some truth to what former Secretary of State Powell stated about the GOP?

Real Friends Can Be Told No

I understand I am getting older wiser, sexier, and unfortunately boring.  Over ther years through my experiences with people I come to understand my perception of friendship is different from most people.  I find it hard to connect consistently with people like myself.  When I was younger I dealt with the wrong crowd of people, I was thinking that I was accepted but I was really being made into a "DO Boy" do anything my so-called friends would ask me to do. But when I needed them the most any excuse could be created to keep them from helping me.  It was wrong.  I've been in situations as a thrid wheel, a tag along, or extra weight but never really felt like I was a part of crew until I had something to contribute or put it.

I did some contemplating about everything that was going on around me regarding these friends. I was fucking up my time, my car, my money and my looks with these people.  So one day I tested a theory.  How would they act if I said NO to what they wanted me to do.  I started saying no to all the request my so called friends would ask of me.  It felt so good watching them make their faces, talk shit to me, and have their little nasty attitudes.  But it was what I needed to do because I know that I am better than being someone's "Do Boy".

Fazion Love Nude Scene: Who's Your Caddy?

I know I'm posting about a old 2007 movie. But sometimes the oldest movies has the best scene content and believe me this is a scene to remember, but the movie as a whole was okay with it's off the wall comedy, stunts and big named stars like James Avery from Fresh Prince Of Bell-Air, Bruce Bruce a major comedian and even Lil Wayne Made a small appearance in the movie just to name a few stars. But what really made the movie a hit to me was Fazion Love (As Big Large), Chase Tatum (As Kidd Clean) and Finesse Mitchell (As Dread) When they deiced to show it all in the golf clubs bathroom, seeing Faizon Love dancing fully nude was hot and hilarious. and to add more hotness to Faizon Love, the cast says on the DVD extras Mr. Love didn't want to where the sock to cover his junk. it hard to find big chubby actors to show there body's to the fullest and don't care what people think.

If you want to know more about the movie Who's Your Caddy?, the cast, or where to buy the movies go to IMDB for all your movie needs

Idris Elba: The First Black Bond?

Idrissa "Idris" Elba is a British actor best known for playing Stringer in The Wire has been rumored to be in talks to play James Bond. The rumors are not new and were given new life when a co-star in Mandela said in The Huffington Post that Elba met with a longtime Bond producer to discuss the possibility of him becoming the first black James Bond.

The rumors are new to me, but have been floating around for more than a year now. Having not paid much attention before this blog I got really excited especially since Skyfall. Another reason the rumor persists is that Idris Elba’s star is rising thanks to his Golden Globe win for Luther and big box office roles in Thor, Prometheus , and the upcoming Pacific Rim.

Obviously, race plays a role in the discussion of whether or not Idris Elba might play James Bond, as Bond has been portrayed by a white actor over the span of 23 films and six decades. But would Idris Elba even make a good James Bond? He’s the right age, he's the right build, he's got the action star credibility, he’s English, and his acting talent and good looks should seal the deal. With the right wardrobe and grooming playing James Bond would be right perfect fit. Hense the rumors.

In October of 2011, Elba dismissed skin color as a real argument against his being cast.

Why Susan Rice Matters

Some call it the curse of the second term but recent events are looking a lot like the early days of his first administration.

The nonsense which surrounded UN Ambassador Susan Rice is a bad sign of things to come in Obama's second term. The non-controversy surrounding the remarks she gave shortly after the attacks on the U.S. embassy in Bengazi, Libya was touted by some on the right as proof that Obama was a liar who not only should not be re-elected but he should be immediately impeached.

To Those Who Wait

I'm the kinda guy that likes to fuck Sunday night so I can be ready for Monday morning. Unfortunately I couldn't. For the past two nights our friends came over and hung out with us. My week was going to be hard. The day was really slow at the office. Around nine I was trying to fight off sleep. I had the church nod going on in full force. Thank God none of my coworkers noticed me. If they did I would hav been teased. As the day went on I started thinking about my baby back home. Monday night our friends stayed over and we had drinks. Cool. One left the other stayed. So Monday turned into Tuesday and I already knew that my hot ass wasn't going to get punished. Pissed I decided to just go to bed. I woke up feeling sad and angry. I guess you could say I had the irritable man syndrome. We all have it sometime or another fellas. I mean we all do.

Sean Jones: Manifest Men Model

Sean Jones looks like he was sculpted and then forged in bronze. You may not see anyone else who is so perfectly developed and moves with such artistry. If it takes choreography to flex and pose then Sean Jones is the master. You'll do a double take looking at his sheer size and definition, seeing muscles pop out that you didn't know existed in human anatomy.

Shad Gaspard and Brett Ratner’s Youngblood

Former WWE superstar, Shad Gaspard got an audition to play Chapel in Brett Ratner’s upcoming superhero movie, “Youngblood” via Twitter. It’s still an if, more than a when, but Brett Ratner is planning to bring Rob Liefield’s Youngblood to the silver screen. Since the beginning of 2009 when Brett Ratner first signed on to direct the comic book adaptation not much official progress has been made.  Ratner confirmed that the Rush Hour series is done, as well as his involvement with the X-Men franchise, but said he'd love another opportunity to helm a superhero franchise. Youngblood very well could be that opportunity, especially now that its legal issues are at an end and they can continue working on the script.

Barrak Obama: Geekiest president in History

Sometimes, you just have to use a little Force.
When a petition calling on the Obama Administration to begin building a Death Star by 2016 blasted past the 25,000 signatures necessary for an official response late last year, the White House could have gone any number of ways. It wasn't required to reply in a timely fashion; it could have stuck the whole thing in a drawer. The petition was obviously frivolous; it could have just said thanks, but no thanks.

But the President, a known sci-fi geek who once flashed a Vulcan salute with a Lieutenant from the Starship Enterprise, evidently opted for a third direction. The response would be written promptly, in full, with as many lovingly-chosen Star Wars references as possible pressed into the service of soaring scientific rhetoric.

YouTube has become one of the biggest video social networking sites in the world. As time goes by YouTube is constantly updating and because of this more people have joined to show there creative side by blogging, making music, and even filming short series. I just stated noticing and watching some of these series and realized they where great. The one that made me laugh most is Steam Room Stories. Pain & Gain Trailer

This is a big new year for movies and they are coming out with a bang, but there is one movie trailer that has caught my eye with it's comedy, action and strong underline sexual masculinity. Plus they have chosen the best actors to make the movie action packed with Dwayne Johnson playing Paul Doyle, Mark Wahlberg as Daniel Lugo and  Anthony Mackie as Adrian Doorbal which i never thought as sexy but has change my mind alittle when he beefed up for the movie. also theres another treat for the gay and straight WWE fans out there Kurt Angle will make a small appearance in the movie. Pain & Gain will be on my list to watch this year.

The movie is about a trio of bodybuilders in Florida get caught up in an extortion ring and a kidnapping scheme that goes terribly wrong.

Friday, January 11, 2013 A Great Blog

Hey my name is Dan. Thanks for stopping by. This website is for those who want to build a bulkier physique and get stronger. It also contains my training log so you can see and watch how I practice what I preach. Too often you'll see people passing out information who don't even look like they train.

I've been doing some form of weight or resistance training since I was around 11-12 years old. Back then I was doing various push-ups, chin-ups on the I-beams in the basement or on the monkey bars at the playground, curls with big heavy books or with this big rock core sample. I have no idea where that came from but it was in my parents' house and it had weight to it.

I was lean and muscular, practiced breakdancing and played a lot of street basketball. At 18, I weighed around 120 lbs. 13 years later, I'm now at 264 lbs. of muscle and bulk. I've gone through a lot of trial and error to get to where I am now and

The Walking Dead and Learning Patience

"I can't fucking wait until you see what I've done to your little boy"

I'm new to the comics. I've enjoyed movies and shows based on them, but The Walking Dead is the first comic I've read. It took me a while to catch up, but issue 106 is the first issue I've read on the day it was released. It was a great issue. Nothing major much happens, but the story is moving along in an interesting direction.  The suspense is killing me. Going from reading two or three issues a week to waiting a month for each issue is excruciating. I was ready for some shit to go down and all of a sudden the isse is over and there's another cliffhanger. Still I love the book and would suggest it to anyone who is a fan of the show. I can't begin to predict what is going to happen and that's great.

Bodybuilding Documentary

"You're just going to have to suffer"

I've always wanted a great body. I can remember ready body building magazine and looking at the guys in the pictures and saying that's what I want. The thing is in those magazines they made it seem as though anyone could achieve it. In a way they had to make you believe that in order to keep you buying their books and magazines. Watching this video has shown me that sacrifice is a real part of trying to be in shape. I mean it's normal to want that but what does it really take to be at your best. This video shows a lot of the things people have to go though to get that body

Just Jump

"Look before you leap."  "Plan before you act."  "Think before you speak." You hear these idioms and it sounds like good advice. What could be wrong with being thoughtful and making plans? Well as it turns out, a lot. Often times what happens is that I end up making plans I never act on spending a lot of time thinking about what I'm going to do and not doing anything. I want to lose weight so I come up with a weight loss plan I never implement. I want to write a book so I write an outline and make a writing schedule and a research notes and plan to work and noting gets done. But I found something out about myself, making plans are important, but sometimes you have to just jump in. Here's why.

God doesn't like gay men

by Chris Roper

I'm no expert on god, unlike the Dutch Reformed Church's (perhaps inappropriately named) "Ring of the Cape of Good Hope". So I'm willing to believe them when they tell me that, if a man puts his willy into another man's Ring of Good Hope, it's a sin.

Hey, they're the experts. And also, it appears that the Catholics, the Jews, the Muslims, and all the Jesus-come-lately new religious cults (like the cutely named His People), hold the same views, very broadly speaking. So in this democratic world of ours, we're going to have to face the facts - god does not like gay men.
