Introducing Robert Jones; New M3 Contributor

1. What is your full name? Do you have a nickname no one calls you anymore?

Ans: Robert Jones, I have a couple of nicknames. On Facebook and Google+ I go by Trebor Mwhatse-SenoJ which is my name spelled backwards. Probably the one least used is "Muscles"(smiles)

  2. If given the choice of any person alive or dead with whom would you want over to dinner as a guest? Why?

Ans: Oprah- I love Oprah. I'm truly enthralled by her, I think she's is an example of what the law of Attraction can do for you. Her life and to hear her story of where she came from and where she is now is amazing! She's business-minded and just exude such a love and internal peace!

   3. Before making an important telephone call do you rehearse what it is you're going to say? What do you think about people who do?

Ans: Well most definitely!! lol In my line of work (sales) I have dread sometimes having to call a client and set up an appointment. I have to take a deep breath and prepare myself....I'm not good at faking it. A part of my personality is that I'm usually so serious and straight to the point, I forget to be personable and I could sound very dry...so I have to be cognizant to not sounds so direct and emotionless! Usually with friends or people I know it kind of just flow with it.

4. Explain in as much detail as possible what would constitute a perfect day for you.

ANS: A perfect day would be me waking up, listening to some great affirmations or motivational content either a Ester Hicks, les brown, Iyanla Vanzant just to name a few. I will cook a breakfast consisting of Eggs (with cheese) pancakes and bacon or sausage. Then get dressed start my day, see about 10-15 Clients and close about 6 sales for the day and encountering someone who needs help and actually being able to help them or impart into their life somehow. Getting paid on my work that same week, and coming home to a nice evening with  the beau have cooked dinner of my favorite meal (lasagna) and have my bath water waiting with my favorite scented body wash with some bubbles and a nicely chilled sweet red wine and amber light through the house with some mix track of some Allen Stone, Avery Sunshine, Samatha James, Kleerup, Sade, Kem, Bilal, The Weekend. Then we would spend the night watching TV together (Scandal) and or having a romantic time in the bedroom or living room or where ever we end up....(smiles)

5. When was the last time you sang to yourself to someone else? Would you ever sing in public in honor of someone you love?

Ans: Oh wow, ummm I'm usually singing to myself a lot, of a particular song that might get stuck in my head the two sang recently I song to myself were, "Side Effects of You" and "Lose to Win"...that one line that says, "Have you ever...needed someone so bad...." lol I have sung to someone recently for their birthday on their voicemail.....lol wasn't my best performance so early in the morning....but I made it work (smiles)

6. If you could live to 100 and retain either your mind or your body at 30 for the rest of your life which would you choose?

ANS: Well, considering I believe that the body is a manifestation of what we think about ourselves, I would rather retain my mind, cause I can always feed and mature my mind, my thoughts, and emotions which ultimately affects my body, I would want a strong mind and to thrive and live on, versus than having a banging body and can't remember nothing mind slipped or is lost

7. Do you have a secret hunch about how you will die? Would you want to know exactly how when and where you will die?

ANS: Very good question. I do have a hunch of how I would die. I think I will be the one to die of a sickness of some sort. I don't put death on the forefront of my thoughts, although I know I will have to leave this earth one day (That's a promise) Do I want to know? Umm yes and know...I think I would like to know just for the knowing and to laugh, because I believe when it's your time, I'T'S YOUR TIME. I could know all I want, however you can't escape death's design I know it sounds kind of Final destination-like but I just think when it's time for you to go it's time for you to go, and if you manage to escape it....someone will have to die in your place but it will come back to visit you!

8. If you could change anything about the way you were raised what would it be?

ANS: Wow, (takes in a deep breath) I would definitely change my social life. I'm so socially shy, so the way I reacted and interacted socially growing up, especially in school would be the biggest thing to change. I think I grew up being around people and felt alone, displaced, and disconnected. I kept a lot of things to myself, my thoughts, visions and dreams. I didn't know who I was as a person, and where I fit in the whole scheme of things. I always felt like the black sheep of the family and have self-labled myself that. I work hard to be similar in some aspects yet different from my family, but it's definitely a work in progress, having to discover myself, define myself as a black gay male living under the societal constructs I usually find myself rebelling against from time to time...

9. If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one ability or quality what would it be and why?

ANS: I would love to be more of a empath! To know exactly what a person is really thinking verbatim and to feel their emotions.....I could very well already be there....however I'm not entirely tapped in tuned in to it. It will help me empathize more and be sympathetic to people, and definitely choose whom to keep around more precisely!!!

10. Is there something you have dreamed of doing for a long time? Why haven't you done it?

ANS: I've dreamed for a long time just being able to a cruise or  even travel alone and just be free, I think a lot of times I don't do it, is because a slight part of my mother is me, and she always had us in very nice upper scale hotels and suites. So generally, when I think of a trip to plan I think on a large scale, and I think it's going to be expensive and I'm talking about at least 2000 plus. (Factoring in, air fair, rental car, gas, lodging, food, spending money and emergency) 2,000 and i"m being generous with what I really thought, so yeah with that being said, I don't have that kind of money YET, however i back away from it because I think it cost to much for my pockets. lmbo But yea, my quirks I'm working on.

11. What is your most treasured memory? How would your personality or life change if you discovered that the memory was false?

ANS: Hmmm, My most treasured memory will have to be those summers in Winter, Park Florida spent with my grandparents (Dad's parents). How grandmother would have breakfast cooked by the time sun was up. Big nice fluffy pancakes with miss butter worth's pancake syrup. Just sitting at the table in the morning while granddad was at the other end of the table, and when we would finish we would go with him on his walk.....and then come on and play on his exercise bike. I'm not sure how I would react if I found out those memories weren't real. Grandma is very dear to my hear, and granddad too, but grandma is always in my heart!

12. If you knew that in one year's time you'd die suddenly is there anything in your life you'd change right now?

ANS: Yes, I will definitely make peace with everyone I've come in contact with, and wouldn't try to argue or fight...but just would want to complete my bucket list and travel and just have fun to the fullest!!!

13. What was the most embarrassing moment in your life? Do you still feel any embarrassment when you think about it?

ANS: Ooo...lol there are a couple of them....the most embarrassing have to be when I was about 15 or so and I was on the computer late one night cyber sexing on AOL. ( Oh the days)  Anyways, so I was enthralled just having someone tell me they were in their underwear or laying naked...so I was going at it jacking off. The computer mind you in in the family room, I was the only one up, however one of the entrances to my parents room was in the family room. So, moms decides to wake her happy butt up and opens the door and sees me jacking my dick--I jump and tried to cover myself up, however she knew what I was doing. She asked me what was I doing though, and I said I was just getting comfortable, she replied with "A little too comfortable". lol  Told my daddy he needed to talk to me. (Talking to dad and listening to him tell me of his first time jacking off is another blog post in its self). Till this day I'm still embarrassed by that moment and even to think about it.....lawd!

14. When was the last time you cried in front of another person? By yourself?

ANS: The last time I cried in front of someone else was sometime last year in front of my father. I tried so hard to hold back the tears, but he kept pushing and pushing to make me break. We were talking about what is/was going on with me at the time for as my life and not being successful in the job market--nothing really came as a result from my moment of break down, he didn't console me or offered any soothing words or anything.....so it really left me open and vulnerable...wondering what they heck is going on. Yes I've cried by myself back in February and March

15. What, if anything, is too serious to joke about? Why? Do people ever think of you as insensitive?

ANS: HAHA, it really depends. I'm a sensitive/serious guy....so if we're joking I can take anything serious, but I usually give you a warning like to chill out...which people miss until I'm in my feelings and ignoring them, usually though my cooking, and my weight is off limits to talk about....depending on what you say I could really take it too serious and not want to talk. Am I insensitive? Not usually if I am, it's because I'm purposely trying to do it because you pissed me off!

16. What is the biggest misconception people have about you? Is there anything you can do to change it?

ANS: There are two misconceptions people have of me, one is that I'm bourgeois and/or mean or unapproachable.  I know have a very serious demeanor or look unapproachable but I'm really a nice guy. I'm not bourgeois I'm really down-to-earth type guy just respect and I will respect you. Most times to over-throw the look of being unapproachable I try to smile more, most times people see my smile and they are like putty in my hands...lmbo. No seriously though I try make my appearance approachable and inviting. (But not too much, can't let them think I'm easy wink).

17. When was the last time you were afraid that you were about to die? Did you feel grateful or lucky to be alive afterward?

ANS: Omg back in 2011 I had gotten sick, and was throwing up and couldn't eat, couldn't sleep was very weak...at that moment I thought I wasn't going to make it. I'm not a person to throw up much but when I do....I feel awful!!! Unbeknownst to me, I had a stomach virus something I ate didn't agree with me. Yeah I'm glad I did survive cause I thought I wasn't.

18. If you were to die tomorrow is there anything you wish you would have done? Not done?

ANS: If I were to die tomorrow, I wish I would have gotten to travel to see the 7 wonders of the world..the pyramids in Africa, or experience Hawaii and Alaska. I would like to make peace with those whom have done me wrong and know that whatever happened, I forgive them, and more importantly I forgive me....

19. If you were forced to flee a burning house and you could easily save any item without endangering your life or others, what would you save?

ANS: Umm, good question...lol I dunno if anything either my digital camera or my computer and hard drives with all my music, blue movies, movies and pictures I have of my family and friends! I have over 1TB of information on those hard drives!!! (Smiles)

20. What do you feel most ashamed about doing in your life? Most proud of?

ANS: I'm not sure if there is anything in my life that I'm embarrassed about. I'm pretty okay with the choices I've made. I'm most proud of my completion of college with my A.S in computer network Engineering, and also obtaining my professional license in Life and Health insurance and establishing myself in the business.
